Herra Runólfur ábóti ritaði og til biskups hver orð herra Ásgrímur talaði á þingi í Kirkjubæ og svo hvað þeir töluðu með sér að Ásgrími þótti mikið að missa vináttu biskups og vildi þar allt til vinna það er hann mátti af sjálfs síns efni og betra allt og bæta það sem hann hefði mótdrægur verið heilagri kirkju og svo að hann bað herra ábóta eiga hlut í að þeir mættu sáttir verða svo að vandræðalaust mætti standa til þess er kóngur og erkibiskup greina allt það er milli manna stóð ,
