og eggjaði menn að láta krossast til Jórsalaferðar , birtandi fyrir mönnum þær aflausnir sem herra páfinn hafði gefið þeim sem með sínum líkama og af sínum kosti færu til Jórsala og berðust ef þarfir gerðust til frelsis því helga landi sem sjálfur guðs son tignaði með sínum dreyra að þeir skyldu fá fullkomna aflausn og líkn allra þeirra synda sem þeir hefðu játað með viðkomning hjartans , með aukning verðleiks og ávexti eilífs verkkaups í himinríki , svo og að páfinn tók alla krossaða menn undir sitt vald og vernd Péturs postula og sjálfs síns og öll þeirra skuldahjón og allra þeirra eignir , skipandi biskupana um alla kristni verndarmenn þessum mönnum til allra réttra mála þeirra sem þeir ættu við aðra menn að skipta , hvern í sínum biskupsdómi , og það með að krossaðir menn skyldu eignast öll þau einkamál og allar þær réttarbætur sem standa í almennilegu afgiftarbréfi þeirra manna sem krossins heit fylla .
