sæm miskunnar dæmi.
Næst kærligum Kristi
kæst elskaði hæsta
Máríu drotning dýra
drós í verkum ljósum.
Brúðr rieð fyrir prúðum garði í svá breiðri borg; siðlátust sæta hielt sæm dæmi miskunnar. Næst kærligum Kristi elskaði kæst drós hæsta, dýra drotning, Máríu, í ljósum verkum.
‘A woman managed a magnificent estate in this spacious city; the most virtuous female followed fitting examples of mercy. After affectionate Christ, the dearest lady loved the highest, precious queen, Mary, with fair deeds.’
