Því skal það upphaf bæna vorra , að Guð gefi oss það vit , að vér megim skilja , hve miklu meira eru verðir andlegir hlutir en líkamlegir og betra að þiggja himneska speki en jarðleg auðæfi og meiri þörf heilagrar ástar við Guð og menn en vegsemdar af mönnum .
