Þrýtra þann er verr hefr valt,
verða kann á ýmsa halt,
misjafnir 'ro blinds manns bitar,
bǫlit kǫllum vér ilt til litar;
eik hefr þats af ǫðrum skefr,
ekki mart er slœgra en refr,
jafnan verðr at áflóð stakar,
auðfengnar 'ro gelti sakar.
