This stanza refers, though not very closely, to a passage in the saga (Ǫrv 1888, 32-3) that tells how Oddr and Ásmundr fight successfully against a troop of Permians, but, when they go to look for their companions and their ships, cannot find them. — [6]: A similar collocation, báts ok knarrar, occurs at Þjsk Lv 5/4I.
