Átta ek ei við léttan
auðar hlyn né blauðan,
þann var vánt at vinna
vóm, úr heiðnum dómi;
veit ek, þá er ljós nam líta,
ljót varð ásjón Sóta,
vildi geymir galdra
greypr í jǫrðina steypaz.
