Árón reið við sollnum sárum
sæmdar-hraustr um fjǫrðu austan,
vistar þurfti varga nistir
vellum grimmr, at Svínafelli;
hǫndum tóku hjǫrva sendi,
hótat var honum dauða skjótum,
lundar unnu ljóssa branda
luktan hann í myrku ranni.
