Notes: [3-4] sólar slóðar ‘of the sun’s track [SKY/HEAVEN]’: Slóð ‘track, path’ is a base-word in heaven-kennings also in Has 19/7-8 (skýja slóð ‘clouds’ track’) and Pl 4/7 (mána slóð ‘moon’s path’). ‘Narrow path’ and ‘light’ are also combined in the liturgical phrase semita lucis (Manz 1941, 457, no. 909).
