En átta sveitir liðs Bagla, búnar rómu, fóru á Upplönd leita lofðungs, ef mætti finna fólkvörð.

‘And eight units of the force of the Baglar, ready for fight, went to Opplandene to hunt for the prince, [to see] if they could find the guardian of the people.

notes and context

Bishop Nikulás sent word to the Baglar that the Birkibeinar were travelling with the son of Hákon Sverrisson, and they set out with eight units to Opplandene to seize the boy. When the Baglar arrived there, they discovered that Hákon and his followers had gone north. Because of the bad weather the Baglar abandoned the search and returned to Hedmark.
