Hjoggum vér með hjǫrvi.
Hér vildi nú allir
burir Áslaugar brǫndum
bitrum hildi vekja,
ef vandliga vissi
of viðfarar ossar,
hvé ófáir ormar
eitrfullir mik slíta;
móðernis fekk mínum
mǫgum, svát hjǫrtu dugðu.
