Heldum Lakkar tjǫldum
hôtt at hildar leiki
fyr Hjaðninga-vági;
sjá knôttu þá seggir,
es sundruðum skjǫldu
at hræsíldar hjaldri,
hjalm slitnaðan gotna;
vasat sem bjarta brúði
í bing hjá sér leggja.
