Context: The helmingr commemorates Haraldr becoming sole ruler of Norway (1135).
Notes: [All]: This is the only helmingr that is not explicitly attributed to Halldórr. Mork has ‘Sva s. h.’ that is, Svá segir hann ‘As he says’ or Svá segir Halldórr ‘As Halldórr says’. For the identification of the poet, see Fidjestøl 1982, 157. — [3] liggr ‘is destined for’: For this meaning of the verb, see Fritzner: liggja á 3. It could also be taken to mean ‘has settled upon, rests upon’ (Fritzner: liggja á 1).
