‘How is it, if I run to the cross?’
Cited as an example of metaplasmus involving synaloephe (‘sínalimphe’), i.e. the omission of a vowel, as shown by the cliticisation of hvés (< hvé es) to form skothending with krúsi.
In Ht, Snorri Sturluson calls this type of cliticisation bragarmál (see SnE 2007, 8 and Section 3.2.1 of the General Introduction in SkP I).
