Notes: [1-2]: Turville-Petre (1953, 201) compares these lines with Hávm 164/5-8. — [3] fleinvarpaðir ‘barb-throwers [MEN]’: A hap. leg. — [6] en ‘and’: Merl 2012 has enn, but perhaps as a slip, since the translation is aber ‘but’. — [10]: After this line, as noted in Merl 2012, the word Amen appears, probably as a scribal addition.
