‘Þá stóð Þórr upp ok fagnaði vel syni sínum ok sagði hann mundu verða mikinn fyrir sér.
‘“Ok vil ek,” sagði hann, “gefa þér hestinn Gullfaxa, er Hrungnir hafði átt.”
‘Þá mælir Óðinn ok sagði at Þórr gerði rangt er hann gaf þann hinn góða hest gýgjarsyni en eigi fǫður sínum.
