The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þetta sumar milli Ólafsmessna þá er Gissur ætlaði utan riðu þeir Hrafn og Eyjólfur vestan frá Sauðafelli með sjö tigu manna. Þeir höfðu margt röskra manna: Bræður Hrafns, Ólafur og Guðlaugur, Vigfús Gunnsteinsson, Svarthöfði Dufgusson, Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson, Ólafur Ólafsson, Ari Guðlaugsson, Helgi Halldórsson. Þeir ætluðu að Gissuri og drepa hann. Þeir riðu suður Reykjardal og hið efra um hálsa og ofan í Hvítársíðu og þaðan á Bláskógaheiði og svo suður hjá Skjaldbreið og ofan að Miðjumdal. Þá gerðu þeir njósnarmann í héraðið þann er Gellir hét. Njósn þessi kom aftur til þeirra og segir að Gissur var á Eyrum við skip og útkoma Sigvarðar biskups og þeir Gissur voru sáttir og Gissur ætlaði utan. Þá sýndist þeim óráðlegt að ríða um endilangt hérað við eigi meira lið og hurfu aftur við svo búið, margir nauðgir. En þá sömu nótt var Gissur í Langaholti að Gissurar glaða og hafði verið fundur í héraðinu áður um daginn og att hestum og reið Gissur af fundinum í Langaholt. Þeir Hrafn áðu í Víðikjörrum. Þá dreymdi Svarthöfða að Vigfús Gunnsteinsson væri horfinn úr liði þeirra og réðu svo sumir menn að lítil mundi verða þessi ferð um vígaferlin. Og riðu þeir heim vestur við svo búið.
