The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Sighvatur gerði bú að Stað á Snæfellsnesi. Var hann mikils háttar maður. Var með þeim Gissuri og Sighvati aldrei fullur trúnaður. Braust það í milli að Gissuri þótti Sighvatur eiga að rekast eftir Þorvarði en Sighvati þótti Gissur aldrei vilja veita sér. Sat Sighvatur nú heima að Stað og urðu með þeim Hrafni margar greinir. Þá kom á Kolbeinsstaði sá maður er Sveinn hét og lést vera sendur af Gissuri með bréfum. Sendi Gissur orð Narfa presti mági sínum að færa bréfin Sighvati. Var eg, segir hann, eigi sendur lengra. Fór hann þar með Ingigerði Ásbjarnardóttur er Ketill Ketilsson hafði barnað. Tóku þau Valgerður systir hans við henni og Narfi prestur en sendu bréfin til Staðar. Var þar á, að Sighvatur skyldi koma við fimmtánda mann í Reykjaholt til móts við Gissur. Sighvatur fór eigi enda kom Gissur eigi. Hrafn kom með þrjá tigi manna. Hafði hann reyndar sent bréf þetta með Saura-Sveini. En er Sighvatur var þessa var heitaðist hann að ræna Narfa prest en þó fórst það fyrir.
