The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Það er nú þessu næst að segja að Brynjólfur átti erindi yfir fjörð að sækja skjöldu sína og vopn. Þótti honum vel að hann reyndi hve auðsveipur Þorgils væri og beiddi að hann mundi vera fyrir ferð þessari er þá var eigi mannmargt heima. En Þorgils segir að þess eins sendimaður eða lestreki vill hann vera í Noregi er enn væri ríkari en Brynjólfur. Brynjólfi þótti þar oft hið sama upp spretta. Bergur bauð Brynjólfi að sækja skjölduna fyrir Þorgils með öðrum manni og það vildi hann. Bergur tók sjúkleik um veturinn og lá lengi og var að kominn bana og batnaði er á leið. Var nú atburðalaust héðan frá um þarvist Þorgils svo að vér vitum frá að segja.
