The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

En þegar Gissur spurði þessi tíðindi dró hann lið saman og fór norður um land. Hann hafði nær fjögur hundruð manna. Hann kom í Skagafjörð og þá heimboð með fimmtánda mann að Jórunni Kálfsdóttur að Stað og hét henni og sonum hennar liðveislu sinni traustri og vináttu. Jórunn gaf honum gjafir góðar. Skagfirðingar sóttu þá á fund Gissurar og játuðu honum sínum trúnaði. Njósnir gengu þá til Þórðar og safnaði hann þá þegar mönnum og fékk þá enn mikið lið. En menn hans voru áður mjög hremmdir og var eigi jafnléttvígt sem um vorið fyrir fundinn. Eftir það tókust meðalferðir og fóru þeir á milli Þórir tottur Arnþórsson, hann hafði skip á Eyrum og var með Gissuri. Margir menn fóru aðrir á milli og varð saman komið sættum með því að Hákon konungur skyldi gera með þeim við þá menn sem hann vildi við hafa. Skyldu þeir fara utan um sumarið báðir, Þórður og Gissur. Sóru tólf menn sátt þessa úr hvorutveggja ríkinu og að halda þessa sætt en þeir fundust ekki sjálfir Gissur og Þórður. Eftir sættina fór Gissur suður.
