The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þetta sumar er næst var og nú hefir frá verið sagt tók sótt Sæmundur í Odda og andaðist hinn sjöunda idus novembris. Það sama haust og öndverðan vetur sást oft stjarna sú er kómeta heitir. Þá sýndist og sólin rauð sem blóð. En það var tilskipan Sæmundar að Solveig dóttir hans skyldi taka jafn mikinn arf sem einn hver sona hans. Fór Solveig þá til Keldna til móður sinnar og sóttu þær Þorvald Gissurarson að því að hann skyldi halda fram hlut Solveigar um skipti við bræður hennar. Synir Sæmundar urðu á það sáttir að þeir skyldu því hlíta um fjárskipti sem Snorri Sturluson skipti með þeim og sendu þeir eftir honum um veturinn að hann skyldi koma suður til fjárskiptis. Fór Snorri þá suður og Ingimundur Jónsson og Ásgrímur Bergþórsson og höfðu gott föruneyti. Hann gisti að Keldum. Var hann þar í kærleikum miklum við þær mæðgur og fór Solveig í Odda með honum. Þótti Snorra allskemmtilegt að tala við hana. En er þau riðu frá Keldum reið kona á mót þeim og hafði flakaúlpu blá og saumuð flökin að höfði henni. Hafði hún það fyrir hattinn. Einn maður var með henni. En það var Hallveig Ormsdóttir er þá var féríkust á Íslandi. Snorra þótti hennar ferð heldur hæðileg og brosti að. Snorri fór í Odda og stillti svo til að Solveig hafði koseyri af arfi þeim er hún rétti hendur til. En mest hélt hann fram hlut Hálfdanar af öllum sonum Sæmundar. Þær mæðgur létu föng sín fara út í Hruna í vald Þorvalds Gissurarsonar og bundu honum á hendi allt sitt ráð. Þenna vetur fóru orðsendingar millum þeirra Þorvalds Gissurarsonar og Sighvats Sturlusonar.
