The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Maður hét Ketill Eyjólfsson en Ljótur hét son hans. Þeir bjuggu á Eyri í Kjós. Ketill var bróðir Kols hins auðga á Möðruvöllum. Markús Skeggjason bjó þar hjá þeim. Hann var frændi Þórðar Böðvarssonar, kominn af ætt Markúss lögsögumanns. Þá skildi á um búsifjar sínar og dreittu þeir feðgar Markús inni. Eftir það fór hann á fund Þórðar frænda síns og er hann kom aftur vó hann Ketil en særði Ljót. Markús var þingmaður Sæmundar Jónssonar og vin. Sighvatur Sturluson fór um vorið suður í Kjós við sjöunda mann. Sóttu frændur Ketils hann að málum og bjó hann mál þessi til alþingis. Var um þessi mál alltíðrætt því að mönnum þótti það hin mesta nýjung ef nokkurir menn vildu deila þingdeildum við Oddaverja í þann tíma. Kolbeinn Tumason og Sigurður Ormsson veittu Sighvati að málum. Þeir höfðu fjölmenni mikið. Þórður Sturluson var í vináttu við Sæmund og hlýddi hann mjög hans fortölum um þessi mál. Þótti þeim lítill slægur til Markúss og varð hann sekur á þinginu og skyldi Markús fara utan og koma aldrei út. Fékk Sighvatur af þessum málum mikla sæmd og voru Kjósverjar jafnan vinir hans síðan.
