The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Svo er sagt að þá er Sturla frétti lát Þorbjargar konu Páls prests að hann leggst í rekkju og það var honum mjög títt þá er hann var hugsjúkur. Menn fréttu að hví það gegndi. Hann svarar: Eg hefi nú þau tíðindi fregið er mér þykja áhugaverð. Menn svöruðu: Ekki hugðum vér að þú mundir stríð um það bera þótt Þorbjörg væri önduð. Sturla svarar: Annað ber og til því að mér eru eigi allhæg að, því að eg virði svo sem aldrei væri sakalaust við syni Páls og Þorbjargar meðan hún lifði en nú samir eigi vel að veita þeim ágang er hún er önduð. Þá bjó Magnús prestur Pálsson að Helgafelli og Hallfríður dóttir Þorgils Arasonar hins fróða og var hún skörungur mikill. Sturla andaðist í elli sinni í Hvammi en Guðný bjó þar lengi síðan. Einar Þorgilsson andaðist tveim vetrum síðar en Sturla sem enn mun sagt verða síðar.
