The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Klemet hét maður. Hann var Karlsefnisson. Hann var bóndi. Hann átti konu er Helga hét. Hún var dóttir Vincentíuss Eyjólfssonar. Bárður hét maður Álfsson Örnólfssonar. Það lék orð á að hann fífldi Helgu konu Klemets. Maður hét Kjartan og var Þorvaldsson. Hann var frændi Klemets. Það var eitt sinn á hestaþingi að Kleifum í Gilsfirði að Bárður var á tali við Helgu. Þar kom að Kjartan og veitti Bárði áverka. Eftir það sótti Álfur að liðveislu Einar Þorgilsson en hann taldist undan því að hann var meir hallur undir þá feðga Kjartan og Þorvald. Þeir voru vinir hans og þingmenn. Síðan sótti Álfur að Sturlu og tók hann við haldi þeirra Álfs og Bárðar og mælti eftir Bárð og var þá sæst á málin og gerði Sturla hálfan þriðja tug hundraða og réðst Álfur þá að þingfesti undir Sturlu.
