SÆMUNDR inn fróði átti Guðrúnu, dóttur Kolbeins Flosasonar. Þeira börn váru þau Eyjóífr prestr ok Loftr prestr ok Loðmundr ok Þórey, er átti Þorvarðr Óláfsson. Þeira sonr var Óláfr prestr.



Loftr Sæmundarson fór utan ok fekk í Nóregi Þóru, ‑ en þat reyndist síðan, at hon var dóttir Magnúss konungs berfætts. Jón var sonr þeira, er mestr höfðingi ok vinsælastr hefir verit á Íslandi. Hann átti Halldóru, dóttur Skegg-Brands. Þeira börn váru þau Sæmundr ok Solveig, er átti Guðmundr gríss. Synir Ragnheiðar ok Jóns váru þeir Páll byskup ok Ormr Breiðbælingr. Ragnheiðr var Þórhallsdóttir, systir Þorláks byskups ins helga. Sonr Jóns Loftssonar ok Æsu Þorgeirsdóttur var Þorsteinn. Hans synir váru þeir Andrés ok Ámundi, Þorgeirr ok Gunnarr. Enn var sonr Jóns Loftssonar ok Helgu Þórisdóttur Einarr. Hann átti mörg börn: Svartr, Hrafn, Kriströðr. Enn váru synir Jóns Loftssonar ok Valgerðar Loftsdóttur Hallbjörn prestr ok Sigurðr, er átti Salgerði Erlendsdóttur. 



Loðmundr Sæmundarson átti Þórunni, dóttur Þórarins Fornasonar, ‑ þeira sonr Jón, er átti Aldísi Halldórsdóttur, ‑ þeira börn Valgerðr ok Eyjólfr. Sonr Eyjólfs ok Valgerðar Gamladóttur var Guðlaugr. Enn váru börn Eyjólfs ok Hildar Skeggjadóttur, Skútusonar: Jón, Loðmundr, Álfheiðr. 



Ragnhildr var dóttir Valgerðar ok Sæmundar Jónssonar ok Solveig.
