The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Þorgils hlýddi til, meðan aðrir mæltu slíkt, ok lagði ekki til ok hugsaði fyrir sér málit. Ok þá er aðrir spurðu, hvert ráð taka skyldi, mælti Þorgils: "Ef þetta er svá sem sagt er, at menn várir inir vöskustu ok skilbeztu sé gervir handteknir ok klandaðir eða meiddir eða drepnir, þá mun oss ámælissamt verða, ef vér ríðum svá á brott, at vér vitim engan hlut gerr en vér getum til. Hitt er í öðru lagi, at þeir þóttust kenna þá tvá gripi, hest ok spjót, er ek gaf Böðvari, mági mínum, er hann myndi hvárngi lausan láta at vilja sínum. Ok ef honum er orðit nökkut til meins, þá vil ek ríða ok vita, ef ek mega hefna hans. En ef svá er vel, sem ek vænti, at vera muni, at hann sé heill maðr ok fylgi sjálfr gripum sínum með flokki miklum til fulltingis við oss, en vér ríðim á brott, en látim hann eftir í háska, þá mun eigi látit orðalaust við oss. Ok vil ek at vísu ríða til þingsins, hvat sem kostar, með þá menn, er mér vilja fylgja, ‑ en þeir hverfi aftr, er þat þykkir drengiligra."



Ok víkr þegar áleiðis, ok ríða menn ofan um Sandkluftir, en engi vill aftr hverfa, þegar Þorgils reið fram, ok váru allir skeleggir í því at skilja eigi við hann, hvat sem á aðra hönd væri.
