The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Ingimundr prestr Einarsson, Arasonar, hann bjó á ættleifð sinni á Reykjahólum. Hami var vinsæll maðr ok þó nökkut févani ok var þó bæði örr af penningum ok it mesta stórmenni í skapi, sem ætterni hans var til. Hann var skáld gott ok at mörgu inn mesti mætismaðr. Hann var enn frændi Þorgils Oddasonar, ok hann hafði gefit honum Reyknesingagoðorð, ok var þeira frændsemi allgóð. Ingimundr var fræðimaðr mikill ok fór mjök með sögur ok skemmti vel kvæðum ok orti. Góð kvæði gerði hann sjálfr ok þá laun fyrir utanlands. Hann var ok góðr viðtakna, er vinir hans sendu honum vandræðamenn, ok sendi jafnan vel sér af hendi.



Hrólfr hét maðr, er bjó á Skálmarnesi undir Múla. Hann var vinr góðr Þorgils Oddasonar ok var þingmaðr hans, lagamaðr mikill ok fór mjök með sakir. Hann var ok sagnamaðr ok orti skipuliga, vel fjáreigandi ok átti gott bú. 



Þórðr hét maðr. Hann bjó í Hvammsdal, ok átti þat land Þorgils Oddason. Þórðr var félítill ok var kallaðr Rúfeyjarskáld, af því at hann hafði þar lengi verit áðr. 



Skip þat stóð uppi í Dögurðarnesi, er átti Bergþórr Másson. Hann seldi Má, son sinn, til fóstrs Þórði, ok óx Már þar upp ok þá illa góðan viðrgerning. Ok at nestlokum vinnr Már á Þórði, fóstra sínum, mjök ok hleypr síðan til Hafliða Mássonar, frænda síns. Ok tók hann við honum. 



En Þorgils ferr með eftirmálit, ok er því löng frásögn um málaferli þessi og tilganga. Ok er þetta sagt upphaf mála þeira Þorgils ok Hafliða Mássonar.
