The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Ok þat var eitt sumar, er þeir heldu í vestrvíking, at þeir fengu svá miklu meira herfang en önnur sumur, at því er frá hefir verit sagt. En fyrr en þeir kæmi heim, skiptu þeir herfangi sínu um sumarit. Þá hlaut annarr þeira tuttugu pund silfrs, en annarr tvau pund gulls. Ok á þessu inu sama sumri rufu þeir hernaðinn ok leystu hvern sinna manna með góðum skotpenningum á burt. Þeir bræðr heldu samfloti tveim skipum í Nóregskonungs ríki.



Þá réð fyrir Nóregi Haraldr konungr inn hárfagri, ok ætluðu þeir bræðr at hafa þar friðland ok skildu þá samflot sitt ok félag. Ok er konungr frétti þat, þá líkar honum eigi þarvist þeira ok þykkir eigi örvænt, at þeir muni þar eflast ætla til móts við sik. 

Ok þat vilja sumir menn segja, at Geirmundr færi fyrir ofríki Haralds konungs til Íslands. En ek hefi þat heyrt, at í þann tíma, er þeir bræðr kómu ór vestrvíking, væri sem mest orð á, at engi þætti vera frægðarför meiri en fara til Íslands. Ok af því inu sama vildi Geirmundr sigla burt þegar um sumarit, er þeir kómu við Nóreg, því at þá var hallat sumri. En Hámundr vildi þat eigi ok ferr til móts við Helga inn magra, ok fóru þeir báðir samt út til Íslands.
