‘You must never test your strength with a mightier man; you must have strengthened attention for everything, and take care of your house and household.

Lat. parallels: (sent. 10) maiori concede ‘give way to your superior’; (sent. 14) diligentiam adhibe ‘practise diligence’; (sent. 15) familiam cura ‘take care of your household’.
