Inn krossfesti, kraftr inn hæsti,
Kristr, er fjórir broddar nistu,
þier býð eg og þinni móður

Þá látið mig þessa njóta
þraungskorðaðra kvæðisorða,

Notes: [1] krossfesti ‘crucified’: There is no entry for this word in Fritzner or ONP. LP cites two other occurrences in poetry: a C12th fragment quoted in TGT (Anon (TGT) 21/1III and Anon Alpost 2/5. See also Lange 1958b, 93-4. — [6] þraungskorðaðra ‘tightly-set’: The cpd þraungskorðaðra implies that the words of poetry are not only supported, but snugly compressed or tightly set together. This is the earliest known occurrence of the word in ON: see Sigfús Blöndal 1920-4 for its use in MIcel. — [7] er þið sjáið mig öllu varða ‘when you two see that it means everything to me’: An acc.-inf. construction. Cf. varðar mest ‘it is of great importance’ 97/5.
