Ættim vier á Jésúm drottin
ifunarlaust með fullu trausti
út af hjartans instum rótum
allir senn með gráti að kalla.
Sie þier dýrð með sannri prýði;
sunginn heiðr af öllum tungum
eilífliga með sigri og sælu;
sæmd og vald það minkaz aldri.

Ifunarlaust ættim vier allir, senn með fullu trausti að kalla með gráti á drottin Jésúm út af hjartans instum rótum. Sie þier dýrð með sannri prýði, heiðr sunginn af öllum tungum, eilífliga með sigri og sælu; sæmd og það vald minkaz aldri.

Without a doubt, all of us at once with full confidence, should call with weeping on the Lord Jesus from the heart’s deepest roots. Let there be to you glory with true beauty, honour sung from all tongues, eternally with victory and blessing; power and that honour will never be diminished.
