The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Eftir þetta óx mikil óþykkja með þeim Brodd-Helga og Geiti.

Eitthvert sumar varð Helga aflafátt á þingi og bað hann
Guðmund liðs. En hann kvaðst eigi nenna að veita honum lið á
hverju þingi og óvinsæla sig við aðra höfðingja en taka af
honum engi gæði í móti. Þeir skildu svo með þetta mál að
Guðmundur hét honum liði en Helgi skyldi gefa honum hálft
hundrað silfurs.

Er dómum var lokið, og höfðu Helga málin vel gengið, þá
mættust þeir Guðmundur við búðir og heimti Guðmundur féið að
Helga. En Helgi kvaðst ekki eiga að gjalda honum og kvaðst
eigi sjá að hann þyrfti fé að gefa í milli vinfengis þeirra.

Guðmundur svarar: "Það er þér illa farið," segir hann, "þarft
annarra ávallt en geldur eigi það er þú ert heitbundinn. En
vinfengi þitt þykir mér lítils vert. Mun eg og eigi oftar
heimta þetta fé enda vera þér aldrei að liði síðan."

Og skildu við svo búið og er nú lokið vinfengi þeirra.

Geitir spyr þetta og fer til fundar við Guðmund og býður
honum að taka fé til vinfengis. Guðmundur lést eigi vilja
hafa fé hans og kvað sér lítið um að veita þeim mönnum lið er
ávallt vildu hinn lægra hlut úr hverju máli bera fyrir Helga.

Fara menn nú heim af þingi og var nú kyrrt um hríð.
