Nú kemur út Ingólfur og fer til Þverár og tekur Glúmur við
honum og bauð með sér setugrið. Það þiggur hann.

Einn dag mælti Ingólfur: "Nú vil eg Glúmur að þú sjáir yfir
varning minn."

Hann gerir svo og sýnist honum vel varið vera.

Þá mælti Ingólfur: "Þú fékkst mér fararefni. Nú kalla eg þig
eiga þetta fé."

Þá segir Glúmur: "Það eitt fé hefir þú að eg ætla ekki mér
það."

"Hér eru þó tjöld er eg hefi keypt til handa þér. Þau skaltu
þiggja og hér er einn kyrtill."

Glúmur svarar: "Þiggja skal eg gjafar þínar."

Einn dag spurði Glúmur hvort Ingólfur vildi vera heima með
honum.

Ingólfur svarar: "Það er í hugnum að skiljast eigi við þig ef
þess er kostur. Stóðhross mín vil eg þér gefa."

Glúmur segir: "Eg mun þiggja hrossin en nú skulum við finna
Þorkel á Hamri í dag."

Svo gera þeir. Þorkell fagnar vel Glúmi.

Þá mælti Glúmur: "Þú hefir gert sakar við Ingólf en nú máttu
bæta það með þeim hætti að gifta honum dóttur þína. Er hann
þess ráðs maklegur en eg mun fé til leggja með honum og eg
hefi hann reynt að góðum dreng. En ef þú gerir eigi svo muntu
missmíði á sjá."

Þessu játar hann og fær Ingólfur þessar konu og gerist
búmaður og nýtur drengur.
