The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Eftir þessi tíðindi ríður Þorsteinn heim og er hann nálgaðist
bæinn sá hann marga menn ríða í mót sér og kenndi þar föður
sinn og marga kunningja og fóru allir hans að leita.

Og er þeir fundust kvaddi Ketill son sinn með blíðum orðum og
þóttist hann úr helju heimtan hafa "og iðraðist eg þegar
eftir þeirra orða er eg mælti við þig til frýju eða áleitni."

Þorsteinn svarar og kvað hann lítt hafa fyrir séð hvort hann
kæmi nokkurn tíma aftur eða aldrei en kvað hamingjuna hafa
styrkt nú svo sitt mál að hann hafði heill aftur komið.

En þótt þeir kasti þessum orðum fram með nokkurri styggð þá
urðu þeir brátt vel sáttir. Segir Þorsteinn nú föður sínum
allan atburð sinnar ferðar. Fyrir þetta verk fékk Þorsteinn
góðan orðstír af hverjum manni sem von var. Síðan lætur
Þorsteinn þings kveðja og komu þar allir byggðarmenn úr þeim
héruðum.

Á þessu þingi stóð Þorsteinn upp og mælti: "Það er öllum yður
kunnigt að gera að ótti sá er á hefir legið hér um hríð af
stigamönnum að menn máttu eigi fara ferða sinna, hann er nú
af ráðinn og endaður. Er það og mest undir þessi minni
þingstefnu að eg vil að hver taki sitt fé það er átt hefir en
eg mun það eignast er af gengur."

Hér að var ger góður rómur af mönnum og fékk Þorsteinn
virðing mikla með öllu sínu tiltæki. Nafn illvirkjans vissi
eigi alþýða manna af því að það var lítt á loft borið.
