The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Svo er sagt að eitt sinni er Þorsteinn Hallsson kom úr
kaupferð af Dyflinni og var það ekki að konungs vilja né
leyfi er hann hafði farið. Svo og höfðu þeir eigi goldið
landaura er gjaldkerinn átti að heimta og heimt hafði hann en
Þorsteinn lést eigi skyldur að gjalda er hann var konungs
hirðmaður og þóttist heimilt eiga og um þá fimmtán menn er
honum fylgdu að gefa upp gjaldið og varð fyrir því eigi fast
eftir gengið. Hann fór út um sumarið og til bús síns.

Konungur spyr þetta allt og lést veitt mundu hafa Þorsteini
sjálfum landaura en eigi mönnum hans, kveðst og ekki muna að
hann hefði því heitið en kvað sér hitt þykja þó meira vert er
hann tók Dyflinnarferð á sig svo að hann hafði ekki konungs
leyfi til og gerir nú Magnús konungur Þorstein fyrir þetta
útlagan og lést svo skulu leiða öðrum lagabrotið þó að mikils
séu verðir.

Og annað sumar kom Þorsteinn utan og hefir stóðhross ágæta
góð, komu norður í Þrándheim og styggðust menn nú við
Þorstein fyr sakir ummæla konungs. Sat hann jafnan einn í
herbergi með sínum mönnum. Stóðhrossin voru í haga fyr ofan
bæinn á Íluvöllum. Fór Þorsteinn þangað til að sjá.
