In Hkr, sts 14-16 appear in an unbroken sequence. In ÓT, st. 16 immediately follows st. 14. Fsk also places this stanza after st. 14 and introduces it with a brief account of how Hákon jarl proceeds north and maintains the rule delegated to him by the Danish king, but no longer pays tribute to him and sets about harrying in Vík (Viken), which is under Danish rule. In Flat st. 16 immediately follows st. 13.
