The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Hrafnkell færði nú bú sitt austur yfir Fljótsdalsheiði og
um þveran Fljótsdal fyrir austan Lagarfljót. Við
vatnsbotninn stóð einn lítill bær, sem hét að Lokhillu.
Þetta land keypti Hrafnkell í skuld, því að eigi var
kosturinn meiri en þurfti til búshluta hafa. Á þetta
lögðu menn mikla umræðu, hversu hans ofsi hafði niður
fallið, og minnist nú margur á fornan orðskvið, að
skömm er óhófs ævi. Þetta var skógland mikið og mikið
merkjum, vont að húsum, og fyrir það efni keypti hann
landið litlu verði. En Hrafnkell sá ekki mjög í kostnað
og felldi mörkina, því að hún var stór, og reisti þar
reisilegan bæ, þann er síðan hét á Hrafnkelsstöðum. Hefir
það síðan verið kallaður jafnan góður bær. Bjó Hrafnkell
þar við mikil óhægindi hin fyrstu misseri. Hann hafði
mikinn aðdrátt af fiskinum. Hrafnkell gekk mjög að
verkum, meðan bær var í smíði. Hrafnkell dró á vetur kálf
og kið hin fyrstu misseri, og hann hélt vel, svo að nær
lifði hvertvetna það, er til ábyrgðar var. Mátti svo að
kveða, að nálega væri tvö höfuð á hverju kvikindi.

Á því sama sumri lagðist veiður mikill í Lagarfljót. Af
slíku gerðist mönnum búshægindi í héraðinu, og það hélst
vel hvert sumar.
