The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

(Brot úr Flateyjarbók. Það hefst framarlega í fyrsta
kafla.)

Óttar mælti þá: "Viltu bóndi ljá mér skip?"

Hann spyr: "Hvað sveinum eruð þið?"

Hann svarar: "Þeir einir eru að betur samir að flytja okkur
en dvelja okkur."

Hann svarar: "Það mun víst satt. Þið munið vera eyjarsveinar
vorir."

Þá voru þeir fluttir til lands og kölluðust göngumenn og koma
þar er síldaferja ein var og spurðu hver fyrir réði. Þeir
kváðust vera norðan úr Vogum.

Óttar mælti: "Viljið þér nokkura þjónustusveina?"

Stýrimaður svarar: "Vel koma oss bakstursveinar og stigið á
skip út."

Héldu síðan suður með landi og er þeir koma á Sognsæ þá mælti
Óttar: "Nú viljum við hér inn í fjörðinn og eigum hér fyrir
frændur."

Stýrimaður mælti: "Það skal ykkur nú heimilt og kann vera að
þið séuð hér eigi verr komnir en þar sem þið voruð upp teknir
og hafið þið vel þjónað en brugðnir munuð þið við fleira."

Síðan skildu þeir.
