The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Það verður þessu næst til tíðinda að vor eitt á einmánuði rak
hval í ey þeirri er Hvallátur heitir. Það var þá eyðiey og
átti Gull-Þórir eyna. Þórir fór til og skar hvalinn, flutti
suman heim en gaf héraðsmönnum sínum suman. Mikið lá þar enn
eftir óskorið hvalsins.

Þetta fréttir Steinólfur í Fagradal. Fer hann þá til og
mannar út áttæring. Og er þeir komu í eyna voru þar fyrir
nokkurir Reyknesingar að hvalskurðinum. Steinólfur og hans
félagar létu ófriðlega og þorðu hinir er að hvalskurðinum
voru eigi að verja þeim hvalinn og hopuðu undan. Báru þeir
Steinólfur þá hvalinn til skips og hlóðu og lögðu síðan brott
frá eynni. Vindur var á sunnan og fór heldur vaxandi.

En er þeir komu inn um eyjar sjá þeir að skip fer í móti
þeim. Kenna þeir að það er Þórir og Þorskfirðingar og svo
hvorir aðra. Þeir Þórir fella seglið en með því að skriður
mikill var á skipunum runnust þau hjá. Þórir skaut spjóti og
varð fyrir sá maður er næstur sat Steinólfi. Féll hann dauður
útbyrðis. Var þá við því búið að í baksegl slægi hjá
Steinólfi og ógreiddist honum ferðin. En fyrir sakir þess að
þá var komið ofviðri og sjógangur mikill gátu þeir Þórir eigi
veitt þeim eftirför. Steinólfur komst með nauðung til
Akureyja. Hafði hann þá rutt skipið að mestu af hvalnum. Beið
hann við eyjarnar til þess er veðrið lægði. Hélt hann þá heim
og sagði sínar farar eigi sléttar.
