The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):



Sigmundur hét maður. Hann heimti skiptoll að Þorsteini því að
hann átti land að annast þar er þeir voru komnir. Nú gerðu
þeir Þorsteinn og Sigmundur það ráð að þeir hnipptust við. Þá
sagði Kolur Þorgilsi að Þorsteinn þyrfti manna við. Þorgils
hleypur þegar á land og beit þetta ráð. Urðu þeir Sigmundur
og Þorsteinn vel sáttir. Kolur tók lík Þorfinns og gróf í
kirkjugarði. Og er Þorgils verður var við hvað Kolur hafði
gert varð hann reiður mjög og hét honum bana. Kolur kvað það
tilvinnanda ef Þorgils raknar við þá heldur en áður og við
umtölur Þorsteins sættust þeir. Fjögur dægur hafði Þorgils
hvorki mat né svefn. Þorgils kvaðst mundu vorkynna konunum
þótt þær ynnu brjóstbörnunum meira en öðrum mönnum.



Litlu eftir þing komu þeir Þorgils út og fór hann heim í
Traðarholt og Þorsteinn með honum og aðrir félagar. Hæringur
bróðir hans tók við honum vel og vildi að Þorgils tæki við
fjám sínum. Þorgils kvaðst eigi vilja við taka fyrr en að
vori. Þorsteinn og Þorleifur fóru utan samsumars. Skildu þeir
Þorgils vel sitt félag. Þorgils var í Traðarholti um veturinn
og þeir bræður með honum, Kolur og Starkaður. Með honum voru
fleiri menn þótt eigi séu nefndir. Hæringur veitti þeim vel.



Þorgils mælti eitt sinn við bróður sinn: "Einn hlutur þykir
mér að við þig frændi er þú lést svo mikið fé fylgja dóttur
minni Þórnýju þá er þú giftir hana Bjarna í Gröf."



Hæringur svarar: "Vel þótti þá séð fyrir kosti hennar er hún
hafði hundrað hundraða en ef þér þykir nokkuð oftekið þá haf
af mínu fé slíkt er þér vel líkar."



Þorgils vildi það með engu móti.
