The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Um haustið bjóst Þorgeir við veislu virðulegri. Þangað bauð
hann Ásbirni og Finnboga og fjölda manns. Þar var ágæt
veisla. Og eftir veisluna gaf Þorgeir stórmannlegar gjafir.
Hann gaf Finnboga frænda sínum stóðhross fimm saman,
fífilbleik að lit. Það var orð á að sá væri hestur bestur í
Norðlendingafjórðungi. Ragnhildi gaf hann gullhring er stóð
mörk, belti og skikkju góða, hina bestu gripi. Síðan fóru
menn heim frá veislunni. Finnbogi lét reka hrossin á
Flateyjardalsheiði.

Maður hét Uxi. Hann bjó þar er heitir að Heiðarhúsum. Hann
var hið mesta kofarn í skapi. Hann var lítill og vesallegur.
Hann átti dóttur Brettings bónda. Þau áttu mart barna en
lítið fé. Var hann óvinsæll af öllum mönnum.

Finnbogi situr nú heima á Eyri og svo er sagt að menn verða
nakkvað svo til áleitni við hann og eru mest að því synir
Brettings og frændur þeirra og vinir. Þykir þeim Finnbogi
miklast mikið af utanferð sinni. Þótti þeim engis manns getið
nema Finnboga síðan hann kom út.

Það er sagt að Finnbogi ætti það fátt í eign sinni að honum
þætti meira um vert en stóðhrossin. Gekk hann jafnan og
strauk hrossunum. Uxi kratt jafnan um og þótti hrossin ganga
sér mjög að meini. Var hann jafnan óðmálugur og illmálugur en
Finnbogi gaf að því engan gaum. Ásbjörn átti hey mikil á
heiðina og lét aka heim á veturinn.
