Um vorið fór Finnbogi út til Íslands og skorti eigi fjárhlut
góðan og gripi ágæta. Skiljast þau Ingibjörg hinir bestu
vinir, héldu í haf og urðu vel reiðfara og komu skipi á
Arnareyri.



Það fréttist brátt að Finnbogi var út kominn með hinni mestu
sæmd og fengið hina ágætustu konu af Noregi. Ríður þá Ásbjörn
faðir hans til skips og Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði. Þar verður
hinn mesti fagnafundur. Veitir Finnbogi frændum sínum og
vinum með kappi. Síðan reið hann heim á Eyri og þangað lætur
hann flytja varning sinn. Hvert barn varð honum stórlega
fegið. Síðan situr hann heima á Eyri með sæmd og virðing í
góðu yfirlæti.
