Ólafur konungur fór með liði sínu suður með landi. Sóttu þá
til fundar við hann vinir hans margir, ríkismenn þeir er til
ferðar voru búnir með konungi. Var þar hinn fyrsti maður
Erlingur Skjálgsson mágur hans og hafði hann skeið hina
miklu. Hún var þrítug að rúmatali og var það skip allvel
skipað. Þá komu og til konungs mágar hans, Hyrningur og
Þorgeir, og stýrði hvortveggi miklu skipi. Margir aðrir
ríkismenn fylgdu honum. Hann hafði sex tigu langskipa er hann
fór úr landi og sigldi suður fyrir Danmörk gegnum Eyrarsund.

Og í þeirri ferð kom Ólafur konungur til Vindlands og gerði
stefnulag við Búrisláf konung og fundust þeir konungar.
Töluðu þeir þá um eignir þær er Ólafur konungur heimti og
fóru allar ræður líklega milli konunga og var góður
greiðskapur um þær heimtingar er Ólafur konungur þóttist þar
eiga. Dvaldist Ólafur konungur þar lengi um sumarið, fann þar
marga vini sína.
