The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Gunnhildur konungamóðir spyr að Ástríður og Ólafur sonur
hennar eru í Svíaveldi. Þá sendi hún enn Hákon og gott
föruneyti með honum austur til Eiríks Svíakonungs með góðar
gjafar og vináttumál. Var þar við sendimönnum vel tekið. Voru
þeir þar í góðu yfirlæti.

Síðan ber Hákon upp fyrir konungi erindi sín, segir að
Gunnhildur hafði til þess orð send að konungur skyldi styrkt
fá hann svo að hann hafi með sér Ólaf Tryggvason til Noregs,
"vill Gunnhildur fóstra hann."

Konungur fær honum menn og ríða þeir á fund Hákonar gamla.
Býður Hákon Ólafi að fara við sér með vinsamlegum orðum
mörgum. Hákon gamli svarar vel og segir að móðir hans skal
ráða ferð hans en Ástríður vill fyrir engan mun að sveinninn
fari. Fara sendimenn í brott og segja svo búið Eiríki
konungi.

Síðan búast sendimenn að fara heim, biðja enn konung að fá
sér styrk nokkurn að hafa sveininn brott hvort sem Hákon
gamli vill eða eigi. Fær konungur þeim enn sveit manna. Koma
sendimenn til Hákonar gamla og krefja þá að sveinninn fari
við þeim. En er því var seint tekið þá hafa þeir fram
mikilmæli og heita afarkostum og láta reiðulega. Þá hleypur
fram þræll einn er Bursti er nefndur og vill ljósta Hákon og
komast þeir nauðulega í brott óbarðir af þrælinum, fara síðan
heim til Noregs og segja sína ferð Gunnhildi og svo að þeir
hafa séð Ólaf Tryggvason.
