Haraldur gráfeldur og Guðröður bróðir hans fóru eftir dráp
Tryggva konungs til búa þeirra er hann hafði átt en þá var
Ástríður í brottu og spurðu þeir ekki til hennar. Sá pati kom
fyrir þá að hún mundi vera með barni Tryggva konungs. Fóru
þeir um haustið norður í land svo sem fyrr er ritið.

En er þeir fundu Gunnhildi móður sína sögðu þeir alla atburði
um þessi tíðindi er þá höfðu gerst í för þeirra. Hún spurði
að vendilega þar sem var Ástríður. Þeir segja slíkan kvitt
þar af sem þeir höfðu heyrt. En fyrir þá sök að það haust hið
sama áttu Gunnhildarsynir deilu við Hákon jarl og svo um
veturinn eftir, sem fyrr er ritið, varð þá engi eftirleitan
höfð um Ástríði og son hennar á þeim vetri.
