The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Björn er maður nefndur, gauskur að kyni. Hann var vinur og kunningi Ástríðar drottningar og nokkuð skyldur að frændsemi og hafði hún fengið honum ármenning og sýslu á ofanverðri Heiðmörk. Hafði hann og yfirsókn í Eystri-Dali. Ekki var Björn konungi kær og ekki var hann maður þokkasæll af bóndum.

Það hafði og að borist í byggð þeirri er Björn réð fyrir að þar urðu hvörf stór á nautum og á svínum. Lét Björn þar kveðja þings til og leitaði þar eftir hvörfum. Hann kallaði þá menn líklegsta til slíkra hluta og illbregða er sátu í markbyggðum fjarri öðrum mönnum. Veik hann því máli til þeirra er byggðu Eystri-Dali. Sú byggð var mjög sundurlaus, byggt við vötn eða rjóður í skógum en fástaðar stórbyggðir saman.
