The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):


Þá er Ólafur konungur og Önundur konungur spurðu að Knútur konungur hafði haldið til Eyrarsunds og hann lá þar með her sinn þá áttu þeir konungar húsþing.


Talaði Ólafur konungur og segir að þetta hafði farið að getu hans að Knútur konungur hafði eigi lengi verið í Ánni helgu. "Vænti eg nú að fleira skal fara eftir getu minni um viðurskipti vor. Hefir hann nú lítið fjölmenni hjá því sem hann hafði í sumar en hann mun minna hafa síðar því að eigi er þeim óleiðara en oss að liggja úti á skipum í haust síðan og mun oss sigurs auðið ef oss skortir eigi þrá og tilræði. Hefir svo farið í sumar að vér höfum haft lið minna en þeir hafa látið fyrir oss bæði menn og fé."


Þá tóku Svíar að tala, segja að það var ekki ráð að bíða þar vetrar og frera "þótt Norðmenn eggi þess. Vita þeir ógerla hver íslög kunna hér að verða og frýs haf allt oftlega á vetrum. Viljum vér fara heim og vera hér ekki lengur."


Gerðu þá Svíar kurr mikinn og mælti hver í orðastað annars. Var það afráðið að Önundur konungur fer þá í brott með allt sitt lið en Ólafur konungur var þá enn eftir.
