Ólafur konungur fór þá suður eftir Guðbrandsdölum og þaðan út á Heiðmörk, fór allt að veislum um hávetri en dró saman her er voraði og fór út í Víkina. Hann hafði mikið lið af Heiðmörk er konungar fengu honum. Fóru þaðan lendir menn margir. Í þeirri ferð var Ketill kálfur á Hringunesi. Ólafur konungur hafði og lið af Raumaríki.


Sigurður konungur sýr mágur hans kom til liðs við hann með mikla sveit manna. Sækja þeir þá út til sjávar og ráða sér til skipa og búast innan úr Víkinni. Þeir höfðu frítt lið og mikið. En er þeir höfðu búið lið sitt lögðu þeir út til Túnsbergs.
