Um vorið fóru þeir vestan allir saman, Ólafur konungur og synir Aðalráðs konungs, komu til Englands þar er heitir Jungufurða, gengu þar á land upp með liði sínu og til borgar. Þar voru fyrir margir þeir menn er þeim höfðu liði heitið. Þeir unnu borgina og drápu mart manna.

En er við urðu varir Knúts konungs menn þá drógu þeir her saman og urðu brátt fjölmennir svo að synir Aðalráðs konungs höfðu ekki liðsafla við og sáu þann sinn kost helst að halda í brott og aftur vestur til Rúðu.

Þá skildist Ólafur konungur við þá og vildi eigi fara til Vallands. Hann sigldi norður með Englandi allt til Norðimbralands. Hann lagði að í höfn þeirri er kallað er fyrir Valdi og barðist þar við bæjarmenn og fékk þar sigur og fé mikið.
