The new edition is either unpublished or unavailable. The following is taken from an old edition (Skj where relevant):

Magnús konungur kastaði eigu sinni á Viggju, er Hrútur hafði
átt, og Kvistsstaði, er Þorgeir hafði átt, svo og á Eggju og
allt það fé, er Kálfur átti eftir, og margar aðrar stórar
eignir lét hann þá falla í konungsgarð, þær er þeir höfðu átt
er fallið höfðu á Stiklastöðum í bóndaliði. Hann gerði og við
marga þá menn stórar refsingar er í þeirri orustu höfðu verið
í mót Ólafi konungi. Suma rak hann af landi og af sumum tók
hann stórfé. Fyrir sumum lét hann bú höggva.

Þá tóku bændur að gera kurr og mæltu sín í milli: "Hvað mun
konungur þessi fyrir ætla er hann brýtur lög á oss, þau er
setti Hákon konungur hinn góði? Man hann eigi það að vér
höfum jafnan eigi þolað vanréttið? Mun hann hafa farar föður
síns eða annarra höfðingja, þeirra er vér höfum af lífi tekið
þá er oss leiddist ofsi þeirra og löglausa."

Þessi kurr var víða í landi. Sygnir höfðu liðsafnað og það
orð á að þeir mundu halda til orustu við Magnús konung ef
hann færi þar. Magnús konungur var þá á Hörðalandi og hafði
þar dvalist mjög lengi og hafði lið mikið og lét sem þá mundi
hann fara norður í Sogn. Þessa urðu varir vinir konungs og
gengu tólf menn á málstefnu og samdist það með þeim að hluta
til einn mann að segja konungi þenna kurr. En svo var til
stillt að Sighvatur skáld hlaut.
